Every year, students in Catholic Schools within the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and school districts across the country participate in the Iowa Assessments, which is a written assessment given to students in grades 1-8 at CtRCS. This year, testing will take place April 19-30.

April is National Poetry month and 2nd grade sets this time aside to celebrate poets and their craft! Each writing block started with a daily poetry “battle” by listening to two different poems from famous authors each day, voting on the favorite, and then ultimately choosing the class favorite!
Christ the Redeemer Catholic School’s (CtRCS) Art Teacher, Gabrielle Bergeron, attended the National Art Education Association Annual Conference in Boston during Spring Break 2019. After a conference filled with inspiring art and impressive sessions, Bergeron is excited to integrate new ideas at CtRCS.

Christ the Redeemer Catholic School (CtRCS) Music Teacher and Choir Director Mary Ann Addis attended the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Convention in February 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. She was joined by Christ the Redeemer (CtR) Director of Music Ministries Bridget Wenk, CtR Cantor and CtRCS parent Molly Englert, and CtR Redeemer Choir Cantor Cliff Randle.

Our 5th grade students are starting their service project in honor of the Super Bowl LI coming to Houston. We're helping to make a difference in the lives of local children this Super Bowl season. We’ve teamed up with the National Football League (NFL), the Houston Texans, the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee, Verizon and the Houston Texans YMCA for a community project.
