We are always excited to welcome new families to the Christ the Redeemer Catholic School community!

Our new student application period typically opens in mid-January for the upcoming school year. We encourage interested families to visit our Admissions page for current dates, deadlines, and enrollment information.

Applications are also accepted throughout the summer and school year as space permits.

We look forward to partnering with your family and sharing all that Christ the Redeemer Catholic School has to offer.

As a ministry of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, Christ the Redeemer Catholic School gives enrollment priority to applicants in the following order:

1. Siblings of currently enrolled Christ the Redeemer Catholic School students
2. Registered parishioners with children currently enrolled in the Genesis Program
3. Registered parishioners of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church
4. Non-parishioner applicants

Admission is based on space availability, completion of the admissions process, and the enrollment priorities listed above.

Each year, Christ the Redeemer Catholic School hosts a Priority Admissions Screening Day on a Saturday in February for applicants who have completed the admissions process by the published deadline.

Applications completed after the Priority Screening Day, including all required teacher recommendations and supporting documents, will be scheduled for screening on a first-come, first-served basis, as space and grade-level availability permit.

Christ the Redeemer Catholic School, in partnership with the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, is committed to making a Catholic education accessible to families who demonstrate financial need. Through our Tuition Assistance Program, we are able to offer financial assistance to qualifying families who are dedicated to providing their children with a faith-filled Catholic education.

We encourage families to apply early and contact our Admissions or Business Office if we can assist you throughout the application process.

Our hours are 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Yes, for an additional cost we offer beforecare from 7-7:40 a.m. and aftercare from 3:30-6 p.m. Click here to learn more about the program.

All newly enrolled students are admitted on a probationary basis. Progress is reviewed at the end of the first academic quarter to ensure a successful transition into the Christ the Redeemer Catholic School community.

Some grade levels, particularly Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten, often have wait lists due to high demand. Wait lists may also occur in other grade levels depending on enrollment and available space.

We encourage families interested in joining the Christ the Redeemer Catholic School community to complete the admissions process as early as possible to maximize enrollment opportunities.

If a grade level is full, qualified applicants may be placed on a wait list and contacted if space becomes available.

Christ the Redeemer Catholic School partners with FlynnO'Hara Uniforms as our official uniform provider. All required full dress uniforms, as well as khaki bottoms for the casual uniform, may be purchased directly through FlynnO'Hara.

Families are also encouraged to shop our Used Uniform Sales, held throughout the year, for gently used uniform items at a reduced cost.

At Christ the Redeemer Catholic School, we believe smaller class sizes foster meaningful relationships, individualized instruction, and a supportive learning environment where every student is known and valued.

We strive to maintain the following class sizes:

• Pre-K3: Up to 18 students (9:1 student-to-adult ratio with one teacher and one instructional assistant)
• Pre-K4: Up to 20 students (10:1 student-to-adult ratio with one teacher and one instructional assistant)
• Kindergarten: Up to 24 students (12:1 student-to-adult ratio with one teacher and one instructional assistant)
• 1st–2nd Grade: Up to 24 students with one instructional assistant shared at each grade level
• 3rd–8th Grade: Up to 24 students per class

Christ the Redeemer Catholic School uses the Love and Logic® philosophy for discipline. Our is staff dedicated to following this set of core beliefs which provides a guide for dealing with student discipline. Each student is a unique individual created by God, with unique personal, social and educational needs. As a result, every disciplinary situation becomes unique in nature. Consequences for misbehavior provide the best learning value when matched to the unique student and situation. 

The core beliefs guide our attempts to individualize disciplinary procedures and help students see reasonable connections between their behavior and the resulting consequence, which increases the odds for children learning from their mistakes.

Students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade participate in the NWEA MAP® Growth™ assessment three times each school year.

MAP Growth is a nationally recognized, adaptive assessment that measures each student's academic progress and helps teachers tailor instruction to meet individual learning needs. By assessing growth over time, MAP provides valuable insights that support student achievement and ensure every child is challenged to reach their full potential.

At Christ the Redeemer Catholic School, we believe learning is most meaningful when students are encouraged to think critically, solve problems creatively, and see God's presence in all areas of their education.

As a STREAM school, our curriculum integrates Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics into engaging, interdisciplinary learning experiences. By connecting these subjects, students develop collaboration, innovation, communication, and critical-thinking skills while growing in their Catholic faith.

Our STREAM approach prepares students not only for academic success but also to become compassionate, faith-filled leaders who use their God-given talents to serve others and make a positive impact on the world.

Christ the Redeemer Catholic School is committed to preparing students for success in an ever-changing world. Through our 1:1 Technology Program, every student in Kindergarten through 8th Grade is provided with an individual tablet or laptop to support learning both inside and outside the classroom.
