CtR Chess Program

Christ the Redeemer Catholic School is excited to offer chess through Think Chess. Students in grades 2-6 meet 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. The chess program is offered in both the fall (begins in September) and spring (begins in February) semesters. The team will be trained to compete in chess tournaments.

Fall 2024 Semester: Sept. 18-Dec. 4

Lessons include:

• An engaging and progressive curriculum designed for multiple levels Openings, Middle game and End game strategies
• Notation and Clock Instruction from qualified, high rated coaches.

• 1 hour of instruction and practice time
• Low student to teacher ratio
• Structured lesson plan to ensure progress
• End of Semester Tournament with Trophies, Medals and Pizza Party! (2.5 hours)
• School team will be prepared for Scholastic Tournaments. Participation is optional.
