McKenna Fisher combines her creativity, leadership, and passion for mentorship in her role as PE Teacher and Coach at Christ the Redeemer Catholic School.
From a young age, she found joy in helping others understand new concepts and guiding her peers, which inspired her to pursue a career in education where she could make a meaningful and lasting difference in students’ lives.
A lifelong Houston-area resident with a brief college stay in St. Louis, McKenna values being part of CtR’s faith-centered community, one that nurtures not only academic excellence but also moral and spiritual growth. She currently lives in Cypress, where she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog. McKenna comes from a family of six sisters, a close-knit background that enriches her approach to teaching and coaching. She brings a strong athletic background to her role, having been captain of the Missouri Baptist University women’s lacrosse team. Her collegiate career was decorated with numerous accolades, including NWLL West Region Player of the Year, multiple All-Conference and All-American honors, and selection to the NWLL All-Star team.
Her teaching journey began as a middle school life skills paraprofessional before transitioning to 6th grade language arts, and later to elementary grades including second and fourth. She also coaches fifth and sixth grade girls’ lacrosse, bringing her enthusiasm and expertise to the field. McKenna earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Missouri Baptist University and completed the Region 4 alternative certification program upon returning to Texas.
When not teaching or coaching, she enjoys attending Astros games and crafting with her Cricut machine, combining her love of sports and creativity.
