Mr. Truch loves teaching because of the joy that comes from seeing students' excitement when they master a new skill or concept. He is committed to creating a student-centered classroom where high expectations are paired with meaningful relationships. He believes every student deserves to feel respected, valued, and challenged, and he encourages students to view mistakes as opportunities for growth, building both confidence and resilience as they learn.
Originally from Canada, Mr. Truch has spent most of his life in the United States, living in Alaska, Ohio, Illinois, and, for the past 17 years, the Houston area. He now resides in Katy with his family.
Outside the classroom, Mr. Truch enjoys spending time with family and friends, caring for and being around animals, watching movies, cooking, swimming, and creating seed bead artwork. He especially enjoys helping others and believes that even small acts of service can make a big difference. One of the values he strives to live by is that the most valuable gift we can give another person is our time, because it shows that we truly value those around us.
