Liliana McMahan brings a deep love for Catholic education and a rich background in teaching and development to her role as Director of Advancement at Christ the Redeemer Catholic School. As a longtime educator and parishioner, she has devoted much of her career to schools where faith, family, and formation come together to build a strong foundation for children.
Born in Mexico and raised in Houston, Liliana has called the Cypress area home for many years. Throughout her career, she has embraced roles that nurture young hearts and support families, including bilingual elementary teacher, school counselor with CFISD, and most recently Donor Relations Associate at St. John Paul II Catholic School. Her passion lies in the formative elementary years when habits of mind and heart are first shaped.
A parishioner of Christ the Redeemer since 2000, Liliana considers this community an extension of her family. Her children grew in faith here, and now she treasures the blessing of seeing her grandchildren welcomed by the same parish. She currently serves as a lector at Mass and looks forward to training as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
Liliana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston Downtown and a Master’s degree in Counseling and Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M University. She is certified in Bilingual Education and School Counseling in Texas. At the heart of her work is a genuine commitment to making students and families feel truly valued and supported. Whether connecting with new donors, sharing the school’s mission, or engaging in everyday conversations, she consistently reflects the compassion and grace she hopes to nurture in every student.
Outside of work, Liliana’s greatest joy is her family. She and her husband recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary and are proud parents of four grown children and three grandchildren. She treasures cooking and sharing meals, traveling with loved ones, enjoying long walks, and finding quiet moments for prayer and reflection.
