Dr. Jennifer LeBlanc brings a deep passion for science and a lifelong commitment to education to her role as Middle School Science Teacher at Christ the Redeemer Catholic School. With a teaching career that began in 2007, Jennifer has dedicated herself to inspiring students to remain curious and engaged through hands-on learning and experimentation. Her love for teaching was sparked by the powerful influence of her own educators growing up; mentors who helped shape her life and instilled in her a desire to do the same for others. That inspiration, combined with her belief in the value of curiosity, led her to pursue a career focused on helping young minds explore and understand the world around them.
Jennifer is a proud Houston native who spent her early childhood at Christ the Redeemer before moving overseas for nearly a decade. Now living in River Oaks, she is thrilled to return “home” to CtR Catholic School, where she looks forward to growing in her faith while teaching and raising her young daughter in the same parish community she once called her own. Her daughter will begin the Genesis program in August.
Jennifer holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on science education, as well as an M.Ed. and B.S., all from Texas A&M University’s College of Education. In addition to her classroom teaching experience, she has taught preservice teachers at Texas A&M and mentored graduate students pursuing their M.Ed. at Johns Hopkins University. She has held Texas middle school math and science certifications since 2007. Beyond the classroom, Jennifer enjoys traveling, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and building intricate botanical Lego creations especially now that travel is a bit trickier with a toddler in tow.
She is currently a parishioner at St. Anne’s and brings with her not only academic excellence but also a genuine love for helping students discover the joy and wonder of science.
