Danon Hollinger is delighted to join the Christ the Redeemer Catholic School community as a first grade teacher. With a heart for early childhood education and a deep sense of calling to the classroom, she brings over two decades of experience, a love for her students, and a strong commitment to nurturing both academic and spiritual growth. Her journey in education began as a substitute teacher while raising her daughters, but it quickly became clear that teaching was more than just a temporary role. She returned to college and earned her degree in Education from LeTourneau University, later obtaining certifications in Special Education for grades K through 12 and English as a Second Language. Since then, Danon has taught in Magnolia ISD, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, and Richards ISD, with experience ranging from kindergarten to resource and dyslexia intervention. In 2014, she was honored as Teacher of the Year at Magnolia Parkway Elementary.
Originally from the small town of Glen Rose, Texas, Danon has called Magnolia home for the past 30 years. She and her husband Larry have been married for nine wonderful years. They enjoy spending time with their three adult children and are proud grandparents to several grandchildren, with one more expected later this year.
Outside of the classroom, Danon enjoys traveling, gardening, caring for her chickens and dogs, showing classic cars with her husband, and spending quality time with family and friends. She feels truly blessed to be part of a school where faith and learning walk hand in hand and looks forward to building lasting relationships with her students and their families.
