Alexandria Perales lives by the saying “be who you needed when you were young.” As a child, she was the student who sometimes struggled, but her elementary school teachers made a lasting impact by helping her discover her strengths and walking alongside her as she overcame challenges. Their example inspired her to become a teacher, and she now strives to make the same meaningful difference in the lives of her students.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Alexandria holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and Interdisciplinary Studies, along with certifications in EC–6, English as a Second Language, and Gifted and Talented education. Her teaching experience includes first and second grade in Bryan ISD and three years as a second and third grade English Language Arts teacher in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. She is excited to join Christ the Redeemer Catholic School as a first-grade teacher and looks forward to being part of a community where faith and learning grow together.
Originally from Austin, Texas, Alexandria has called Houston home for the past three years and currently lives in Cypress with her husband. They recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary and share their home with their energetic border collie, Rosie. Outside the classroom, she enjoys reading, journaling, cooking, baking, and spending time outdoors with her husband and dog. She also has fun competing in the occasional Mario Kart race.
Alexandria is passionate about helping students grow in mind, body, and spirit, and she is eager to be one of their biggest cheerleaders as they learn and discover who God is calling them to be.
